Energy Efficiency Ratio

The energy efficiency ratio is the ratio of energy conversion efficiency. The greater the energy efficiency ratio, the greater the energy savings. In addition to cooling and noise reduction, in today’s increasing pursuit of environmental protection and energy-saving, the amount of electricity consumption is also of concern to everyone.

For consumers, choosing an energy-saving air conditioner can save the electricity bill bit by bit in the future use process, which is undoubtedly a shrewd choice. Two key words are involved here: energy efficiency ratio and frequency conversion. Energy efficiency ratio refers to the ratio of cooling capacity to effective input power when the air conditioner is in cooling operation. The value of the energy efficiency ratio reflects the cooling capacity of the air conditioner product when it consumes 1000W of electric power.

COP

The value of the energy efficiency ratio reflects the energy saving of different air conditioner products. The larger the value of the energy efficiency ratio, the higher the energy conversion efficiency of the product in use, and the less power consumption of the air conditioner product per unit time. The energy efficiency label on the air conditioner makes it easy for you to “recognize” energy-saving “stars” from many air conditioners. Just look at the product grade marked on the arrow to the right of the label to make a judgment: 1st grade is the most energy efficient, 5th grade is the most energy efficient. Most energy consuming. It should also be reminded that only energy-saving air conditioners are marked with grades 1 and 2.

Cooling And Heating

Air conditioners generally have both cooling and heating capabilities. Therefore, the energy efficiency ratio of air conditioners is also divided into two types: cooling energy efficiency ratio and heating energy efficiency ratio. In order to distinguish these two energy efficiency ratios, different abbreviations are used in books. Energy efficiency ratio, COP generally refers to the heating energy efficiency ratio.

In most regions, air conditioning is used primarily during the winter and summer, with heating being an auxiliary process.

The higher the EER and COP, the lower the energy consumption of the air conditioner and the higher the performance ratio.

Cooling Energy Efficiency Ratio EER

EER is the cooling performance coefficient of the air conditioner, called the cooling energy efficiency ratio, which represents the cooling capacity of the air conditioner per unit of power.

Among them, Qc refers to the nominal cooling capacity per unit time, in kW, and W refers to the power consumed by the air conditioner per unit time, in kW

Heating energy efficiency ratio COP

COP is the heating performance coefficient of the air conditioner, called the heating energy efficiency ratio, which represents the heating capacity of the air conditioner per unit of power.

Energy efficiency standards

Energy efficiency ratio refers to the ratio of rated cooling capacity to rated power (power consumption).

Energy efficiency grade is a grading method to indicate the difference in energy efficiency of air-conditioning products. China’s energy efficiency is divided into 5 grades. The background color of the energy efficiency mark is blue, and the top has information such as “producer name”, “specification model”; the most striking is In the middle part of the logo, there are grade marks from 1 to 5, from green to red, and there is a message on the left from “low energy consumption” to “high energy consumption”, and the upper right corner clearly shows the energy efficiency grade of the product of this specification . The lower part of the logo provides the specific data of “energy efficiency ratio”, “input power” and “cooling capacity”.

Energy efficiency rating

Note: On June 1, 2010, a new standard for the energy efficiency ratio of fixed-speed machines was promulgated, with grades 1-3, which are 3.6, 3.4, and 3.2, respectively.

Energy efficiency label Energy efficiency grade

⒊4 and above Level 1

⒊2~3.4 Level 2

⒊0~3.2 Level 3

⒉8~3.0 Level 4

⒉6~2.8 Level 5

Level 1 is the most energy-efficient, Level 5 is the lowest, and products below Level 5 are not allowed to be marketed. Air-conditioning companies need to affix energy efficiency labels on their products to inform consumers of their energy efficiency levels. Consumers can clearly know which air conditioner is energy-saving and energy-saving directly through the energy efficiency rating label. It is understood that taking an air conditioner with a power of 1.5 horses as a reference, the power consumption per hour of the first-level products shall not exceed 1 kWh, and the power consumption of the fifth-level products shall not exceed 1.35 kWh per hour.

Energy efficiency grade is a grading method to indicate the difference in the energy efficiency of air-conditioning products. According to the relevant provisions of national standards, the energy efficiency ratio of air-conditioning is divided into five levels: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The energy efficiency label is 2.6 to 2.8, the energy consumption class is 5 energy consumption; the energy efficiency label is 2.8 to 3.0, the energy consumption class is 4 energy consumption; the energy efficiency label is 3.0 to 3.2, the energy consumption class is 3 energy consumption; the energy efficiency label If the energy consumption is 3.2 to 3.4, the energy consumption level is level 2 energy consumption; if the energy efficiency label is 3.4 and above, the energy consumption level is level 1 energy consumption. According to regulations, if the product is lower than the minimum market access level 5 energy efficiency, it is not allowed to be sold on the market.

The home use of the 2-level energy efficiency ratio has the best effect, and the air conditioner with the 1-level energy efficiency ratio is indeed lower than the unit power consumption of the 2-level energy efficiency ratio air conditioner. However, whether to achieve the best power-saving effect still needs to be converted according to the usage habits of individual households. Generally speaking, only 1.5 kWh of electricity can be saved by working continuously for 10 hours with a small 1 hp and 1 hp air conditioner. Families that do not need to use them for such a long time every day do not need to deliberately choose products with the highest energy efficiency ratio. Some experts pointed out that the level 2 energy efficiency ratio is actually a “critical point”. According to calculations, the energy-saving effect of air conditioners with a level 2 energy efficiency ratio in general households usually achieves the best energy-saving effect.

High energy efficiency air conditioner = low energy consumption air conditioner National standards 1, 2, 3 energy efficiency

High energy consumption air conditioner = low energy efficiency air conditioner National standards 4 and 5 energy efficiency

High energy consumption air conditioners (level 4 and 5 energy-efficient air conditioners) were forced to stop production in China in March 2009.
